In this video we’re using food play to build engagement and focus with Loco in a fairly quiet spot in a small town. The video starts with us playing the game ‘make me move’ before working on some obedience and marker discrimination. We end the session with some relaxation to help Loco learn to also be calm in this type of environment.

The video starts with us working on recall with Hades using a ‘call away’ drill, before quickly shifting attention to the owners ‘out’ (a drop it cue). If we are going to use play as a reward we need to have the ability to end and restart the game as and when we need to.

Here we’re using a game of tug to build engagement with Solo near a busy road, introducing small intervals for obedience as we go.
